La Cartita was founded in January, 2013 in order to provide breaking news to the Mexican community working outside of the countries recognized borders. Our coverage and unique perspective ranges over various issues, like causes of economic displacement and other ongoing human rights violations. The majority of our content presents information concerning active human rights campaigns, events or notable news pertaining to labor and student movements, along with actions linked to major state and non-state actors.

However, on a daily basis we also publish content of an economic nature: Mexico's fluctuating and artificially manipulated currency is of great concern to us all. As such, on a daily basis, we publish a value comparison between Mexico and other large countries with relevant economies. Please follow our twitter account at @LaCartita.
