Jeff Sessions Attacks Mexican Man Found Innocent Over Murder Due To Accidental Shooting Death

(La Cartita , December 1, 2017) --- Jose Ines Garcia Zarate was found not guilty of the murder of Kate Steinsley. The US Attorney General & President of the United States both condemned the ruling of the SF court over the murder. For two years, a case was built against Zarate, a Mexican man who was homeless at the time of Steinsley's death. A jury found that Zarate did not intend to kill the woman, not charging him for murder after it was found that Zarate was truthful when he said he found the gun in a SF area park.

While Zarate was homeless and it was an accident, Donald Trump used the incident to cast the entire Mexican community in a bad light. Legal versus illegal, while a central theme in Trump's discourse, did not matter as much as 'White' & 'Mexican', but the statements of the president both during and after the trial were couched in racist dog-whistles. He would state that illegal immigrants were crimials. Mexicans were rapists. The necessity of a wall. And, how Kate's death would be avenged through his political ambitions.

Setting The Record Straight Online: Fascists Need To Be Called Out

The trial ended on Thursday, November 30, 2017 and the parents were quoted as saying they were relieved to have the ruling determined. They are now suing the SF government because it was one of their stolen guns that was fired and eventually caused the death of Steinsley. The gun, however, was not stolen by Zarate. The parents of Kate Steinsle were vocal opponents with the manner in which their daughter's accidental death was used by Donal Trump and his surrogates.
