Sonoran singer and top exponent of Mexican regional music, Carin Leon, has made waves in the local community. While Leon has had some resounding success with Boca Chueca, the artist also managed to get in some promotional events under his belt.
Leon recently had the honor of throwing the inaugural pitch at the start of the Liga del Sol baseball league. This event took place at the Victor Cadillo Sainz Stadium within Reforma’s Sports Complex in Hermosillo, Sonora, during the first unveiling of the stadium.
Hermosillo is Carin’s hometown. As expected, many people who were unable to be ticketed found themselves peering from outside and watching with glee the event. Such was the fanfare for one of Mexico’s global stars whose spotlight is starting to overwhelm the domestic and internatioanl charts.
