On June 8, the concert of Mexican singer Carín León was cancelled minutes before due to alleged threats and gunshots outside the Arena Valle de Guadalupe. Witnesses reported hearing not only gunshots, but also explosions in the vicinity of the arena. Emergency 911 calls reported the sound of gunshots after two cars crashed into a light pole and the drivers fled the scene.

At this time, no one has been arrested and authorities are still investigating the incident. Although there are suspicions with the possibility that drunken individuals are responsible for the shooting, there are no official confirmations.

In an official statement, Carín León and her team apologized to the public and promised to announce a new concert date, ensuring that all the necessary measures were taken to put on a great show.

The unexpected cancellation of the concert has left many fans disappointed, as they had gathered to see Carín León perform her hit songs such as “Primera Cita”, “Según Quién”, “Una Vida Pasada”, and “Que Vuelvas”. This unfortunate incident also brings to light concerns about security at public events, particularly given the rising violence associated with organized crime in certain parts of Mexico.
