As elections loom over the political psyche of the US, the average US person appears ‘OK’ as they pile on to air service, traffic and all sorts of recreational and discretionary expenses. Traffic is a nightmare as I type this from an Amtrak Pacific Surfliner in California.
Traffic is a totally intense matter at the moment. Places with two lane highways and no rail transportation, like Texas, are having an intense time trying to get around, which speaks to the limitations of owning a car. In many places in the US, the entire infrastructure is too car centric and pleasant alternatives are unavailable.
As Labor Day weekend travel gets underway, traffic is backed up for miles and TxDOT said drivers on the highway can exit at White Street.https://t.co/jI9IGkmigX

Keeping the celebrations rolling, a luxury lingerie swingers party in downtown Los Angeles drew large crowds to the Little Tokyo district. The celebrations were ubiquitous with restaurants rolling out exclusive menus and Diners exploring rare culinary delights, thus marking an eventful edition to Labor Day 2024 in Los Angeles. From August 30, 2024 to August 31, 2024, from 9 PM to 4AM; the very adult themed event should be dominating LA’s downtown night life.

Sushi Gen in Little Tokyo. Put your name on the list and then get a drink next door at The Mermaid. For great Italian sourdough pizza with a good wine list, Propaganda in the Arts District. There's several awesome anju spots in KTown but they will be impossibly crowded on Friday.

Things To Do, Shopping Trends
Fueled by patriotism, some retailers, like Great American H.I.C.K.S, are hosting Labor Day sale events, resonating with fellow patriots and lending support to the Republic. Also on the agenda is the Gilmore Car Museum’s celebration of America’s favorite cars set to be held undoubtedly adding fuel to motor enthusiasts’ weekend plans.
For those enthralled by adrenaline spikes, the spectacle of the Blue Angels Super Hornets conducting aerial acrobatics added a thrilling start to the holidays over one particular campus quad. That’s all the way in Cleveland, Ohio, where the space and culture for those type of airshows is strong.

Politics
Meanwhile, burning topics of political debate such as former President Trump’s aggressive campaign efforts ahead of Labor Day, as well as social issues symbolized by the hashtag #BellRiots sets a different tone to the weekend’s undertones. While the Labor Day weekend offers an array of activities, ranging from shopping at national retailers to embarking on adventures, the common thread urges individuals to remain safe and enjoy the holidays responsibly.
