Reports of violence have increased, making life in Culiacan an extremely dangerous situation.
Disrupted community and public safety at risk
The once peaceful streets of Culiacán have now become scenes of chaos and terror, as armed individuals have been seen aboard buses, threatening passengers with imminent confrontations. In response to these alarming events, the Ministry of Public Education and Culture has taken the decision to suspend all school classes in the vicinity of La Campiña. Meanwhile, universities have opted to hold virtual classes in an attempt to safeguard the well-being of their students and professors, given the volatile situation in the streets of Culiacán.
Political figures misread the situation
Among the victims of this violence is a man known as “El Comandante Coco”, allegedly linked to one of the most powerful cartels in the region, “Los Chapitos”. His recent execution has been a high point in the escalating conflict in Culiacán.
Authorities are working hard to restore peace and improve security in the city. Special forces have been deployed for prevention and aerial surveillance missions, giving the residents of Culiacán hope for a quick and effective response from the authorities.
