Félix Salgado Macedonio, a gubernatorial candidate in the state of Guerrero, Mexico is hounded by rape allegations as he moves to clinch both his party’s nomination and maintain support amongst the powerful rank and file of the Morena party, the ruling party of Mexico.
A protest action was held in the state of Mexico –Estado de Mexico (EDOMEX) – to demand that the state’s governor provide support for women facing violence in Cuautitlán Izcalli, a municipality of EDOMEX. The governor of that state has maintained that his current administration is one that focuses on women. Nonetheless, the collective maintained focus on victims, placing pictures of women killed in acts of femicide.
