Six Flags Rollercoaster Riders Left Hanging In Midst Of Rain And Winds

Roller coasters are not meant to be scary in the way some Six Flags Riders experienced recently in Mexico City. On an ostensibly routine day at Six Flags Mexico, visitors got more thrill than what they bargained for. In a sudden twist of events, the park’s Sky Screamer ride became a real terror when it ground to a halt in the midst of a storm, leaving passengers suspend nearly 250 feet in the air under heavy rain and gusty winds.

The incident had several park-goers overcome with fear as illustrated by a tweet sharing a short clip of the ordeal captioned, “¡Qué susto! A group of people got stranded on Six Flags Mexico when the Sky Screamer attraction stopped in the middle of a storm with heavy rain and winds.”

Several other users echoed similar sentiments about the frightful incident. The hair-raising ordeal, which was captured on video, was swiftly disseminated on Twitter, as tweets about the event proliferated on the platform, each depicting the grim situation that unfolded at the park. The Sky Screamer is known to soar close to a staggering 243 feet above the ground at speeds of 40 mph according to the park’s website – scary indeed if you add wind and rain.

As a Twitter user grimly observed, “At least once a year something crazy happens in that park.” Despite the trying circumstances, visitors were ushered to safety after experiencing an unforgettable day at Six Flags Mexico. We suspect that the incident could have just as easily taken place in the United States given that the torrential rains and winds were largely to blame for the unique circumstances. In fact, many times in Mexico, people will insist on boarding such an attraction despite the obvious risks involved with weather. Nevertheless, ‘Sky Screamer’ became scary for a different reason altogether last week
