The 3rd and 4th most popular boxers in the United States are set to face one another in April, 2023.

Many favor Gervonta “Tank” Davis due to his intense amount of experience relative to Ryan Garcia. Statistically, the Maryland based boxer has more KO’s than Ryan has fights, but some of it may derive from fighting relatively light weight classes. Garcia, however, is a much larger individual with superior hand speed.

Both individuals have a difficult personal history with Gervonta “Tank” Davis being arrested on Domestic Violence Charges. Last year, Gervonta Davis, was arrested on a domestic violence charge after allegedly striking a woman on the head. The woman, the mother of Davis’ 1-year-old daughter, was not seriously injured, according to the police report. Davis, 23, was arraigned in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, and pleaded not guilty. After the fight, Davis will have to go to a Maryland court to face separate charges on a hit and run misdemeanor.
