Tesla’s Suing Everyone: Sues Man For Modifying Cybertruck But Has Bigger Problems

Tesla, the leading electric vehicle manufacturer, has been a favourite subject of online chatter recently. Speculations suggest an upsurge in manufacturing expectations for Tesla China this quarter. It remains unclear whether this expectation arises from the anticipated release of Full Self-Driving (FSD) or plans to replenish the Model Y inventory. In the midst of a vibrant competition within the automotive industry, controversy surrounds Tesla’s legal battles with other vehicle manufacturers.

Companies are quick to sue one another if even the semblance of IP Theft takes place. Tesla once sued Henrik Fisker, alleging that Fisker copied their Model S design. Despite these accusations, Tesla lost the lawsuit. However, a company suing their customers is a new one in recent lore.

A Central American Man Sued By Tesla

A Central American named ‘Emmanuel’, according to social media users added a rack on top of his Tesla, but somehow the automaker was able to figure out that he modified the truck and sued him. The man received (in Tesla letterhead) a letter from Tesla saying that he was being sued for 500,000 dollars.

The man white rack on top of the entirety of his truck is claimed to be used to haul materials for construction purposes. It is unclear what the motive for Tesla could be. However, one theory is that Tesla likely wants to protect the perception of their product as some kind of elite consumer good.

Nonetheless, those looking for additional functionality may do well to avoid the truck. Now, it is not totally clear whether the man’s claim is totally verifiable, but Tesla already sues people for selling the cyber truck within the first year of purchase, presumably, to prevent price gouging for pent-up demand.

In A recent report revealed a man had been sued by Tesla for modifying his Cybertruck, an action that stirred hue and cry among the public. Many were left to wonder whether an owner of a Tesla vehicle still faced legal liability due to modifications despite having fully owned the vehicle.

Tesla’s Demand and Quarterly Deliveries

Despite some controversial reports, Tesla’s stock performance paints an impressive picture.

Tesla Sales & Quarterly Performance

There was a minor 5% drop in the 2nd quarter, a smaller setback than anticipated. The firm attributed this dip to price cuts and incentives, which eventually spurred growth in demand and increased stock value. In its Q2 report, Tesla revealed it produced 411,000 cars and delivered a staggering 444,000 – a testament to steadfast demand amid a challenging time for the automobile industry. However, Tesla’s estimated deliveries for the June quarter were expected to fall by 3.7% marking a consecutive second-quarter fall. Competition in China and a lack of new affordable models were indicated to affect the demand.
