Tragically, an explosion at the Jose Cuervo Tequila plant in Jalisco, Mexico has claimed the lives of at least six employees. The incident, which occurred on Tuesday, July 23, has left the local community shocked and devastated. Reports indicate that the explosion was generated in four alcohol containers of 219,000 liters each, causing a fire that quickly spread through the factory.

The immediate aftermath and ongoing investigations
The catastrophe has prompted an emergency response from local services, cordoning off the area to attend to all personnel. Local sources have blamed a boiler fire for the disaster which quickly escalated, engulfing the containers of the factory located in the town of Tequila, Jalisco state. In addition to the confirmed fatalities, two other people were injured in the disaster.
