
On a quiet Tuesday morning in Cali, Colombia, tragedy struck the aviation community as a plane crash claimed the life of 33-year-old Captain Hanner Sánchez Mora. The young captain, a member of the Marco Fidel Suárez Aerospace Force School, was flying a routine training flight when the accident occurred.
Eyewitnesses report seeing the light aircraft catch fire before crashing near the school’s base. Despite the immediate response from authorities, Captain Mora did not survive the crash. Co-pilot Juan David Díaz, also a promising cadet from the Aerospace Force School, was rescued and rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency surgery.
