Yuli Ruiz, better known as ‘Yuligrafia’, is reminding the world how to properly write in Spanish. In some cases, the famed Instagram and Tik Tok influencer is showing some social media users from the ground up how to properly avoid ambiguities common in the Spanish language.
For example, one of Yuligrafia’s initial posts that launched her into prominence was one highlighting the difference between the 4 ‘porques’, which boils down to the following set of English and Spanish pairs:

Ruiz points to humble beginnings, and, in various interviews, notes that most in her family did not have access to higher education. Despite this issue, at 14 Yuli Ruiz was able to graduate from the Colombian equivalent of high school and began plotting a path forward to for her advanced education.

Eventually, Ruiz accumulated enough money for university through performing dignified work in restaurants as a server and with a local pastor. Most notably, she participated in a beauty and makeup contest in her local hometown.
The Spanish language teacher who was also a press manager for a Santander based university has launched various services and products to monetize her commendable efforts. Follow her at Yuligrafia.
