At 24 years old, Jesse “Bam” Rodriguez was able to dismantle Juan Francisco Estrada via excellent distance management, jabs, footwork that setup his power shots. Nonetheless, Juan Francisco ‘El Gallo’ Estrada expressed his will to rematch Bam Rodriguez at the 115 super flyweight division. However, even when there was a seemingly dominant display from Bam, Estrada was able to punch in between the shots of Bam.
Round 1 & 2 – Feeling Out
Even though he was smaller, Rodriguez was able to push back the smaller Estrada. Rodriguez was able to befuddle the ageing, but perhaps, out-of-shape, Gallo Estrada. As the night closed out, Estrada did make reference to being out of shape. To be fair, there was some semblance of slog and delay in his step.
A check left hook for Gallo Estrada.

Two nice uppercuts for Bam. He’s able to cut distance well.#Gallo #BamRodriguez
The foot faints for Bam are defining the fight so far. He’s able to cut the distance unexpectedly and land on Estrada. #boxing

Round 2 for Bam.
Round 1 for Bam.
Round 3 – Bam Sets Tone For Rest of Fight
The bounce in his step allowed him to manage the distance definitively. Already, el Gallo’s punch resistance was questionable at this point as we tweeted, which culminated with the first knockdown.
Bam has stunned Gallo and while Gallo has somewhat recovered, Bam is closing the distance at will basically. Round 3 for Bam. The power is there for the gifted Chicano. @210bam

As we could ominously tell from round 3, round 4 is the culmination of a lot of the damage Bam imposed over Estrada. Bam was able to walk through the fire despite being the smaller man. The skill allowed Rodriguez to power through while also landing his jab consistently.
Gallo gets a needed break from an accidental blow. Round 4 can define the entire fight but Bam looking dominant although Gallo just caught Bam with a good body shot. Gallo steps in with a nice upper. But, Bam has just pushed the action. pic.twitter.com/Wf1KsX4DAH

Rally From Gallo – Round 5 & 6
Gallo exposed himself a bit more, throwing between Bam’s offense much like this jab below. He is able to drop Rodriguez for the first time.
Gallo Estrada @GalloEstradaOfi is able to punch between and even touch up the young @210bam – these guys are all about control and grace under pressure. #boxing

Eventually, Bam gets dropped for the first time as he somewhat gets distracted. Credit to @dantheboxman. Estrada wins round 5 and 6. But, round 7 is what the fight ultimately ends on.

Round 7
Taking Estrada at his word, perhaps, he was out of shape. His last fight was over a year ago and Bam is younger, much more in shape. When asked if he had been dropped with a body shot like that before, Estrada responded that this shot also dropped him in the amateurs. Nevertheless, the veteran hall of famer wants the rematch.
That BODYSHOT. Fantastic boxing match and fight. Nothing quite like a fire @MatchroomBoxing event. #BamRodriguez #GalloEstrada pic.twitter.com/IErSzLEoNQ

Bam: Rising Star Stuns Boxing World
On a night of high-level boxing that promised to deliver a classic, Jesse ‘Bam’ Rodriguez ultimately stole the show with his extraordinary performance that culminated in a masterclass in attacking precision. His opponent, the legendary Juan Francisco ‘El Gallo’ Estrada, had no chance against Rodriguez’s onslaught.
The heart of Juan Francisco Estrada was unquestionably evident as he was able to time Bam in between his shots.
This brutal victory leads Rodriguez not only to be the new Lineal Jr. Bantamweight Champion but also positions him assertively among the top pound-for-pound fighters in the world. Subsection: Dominating from the Start From the very outset of the match, Rodriguez displayed a dominating form, putting on a clinic against Estrada. Showing a blend of technical superiority and brute force, Rodriguez was too much for Estrada to handle, as he kept him on the back foot with an attacking intensity that was nothing short of spectacular.
The Winning Blow
The decisive moment came in the seventh round when Rodriguez landed an unerringly accurate liver shot on Estrada, sending him crashing to the canvas. It was a punch that etched Rodriguez’s name in the annals of pugilistic fame and left the boxing community in awe of his skill.
