Les Wexner Faces Scrutiny in Congressional Investigation Tied to Jeffrey Epstein

Les Wexner, the billionaire founder of Victoria’s Secret, is under intense scrutiny following his deposition in a congressional investigation regarding his financial ties to the late Jeffrey Epstein. Wexner, who has been described as Epstein’s largest benefactor, reportedly provided Epstein with substantial financial support over the years, with Rep. Robert Garcia alleging that Wexner contributed around $1 billion to Epstein’s fortunes.

During a recent deposition, Wexner stated that he felt “naive” and “duped” by Epstein, labeling him a “con man” and asserting that he severed ties nearly two decades ago. However, Garcia expressed outrage that Wexner claimed to have never been contacted by the Department of Justice (DOJ) or the FBI regarding Epstein, questioning how a financier entwined with Epstein’s operations had escaped federal scrutiny. “Our government’s refusal to pursue true accountability is shameful,” Garcia remarked.

The congressional Oversight Committee is now emphasizing the necessity of following the financial trail between Wexner and Epstein. Congress member, Robert Garcia, asserted Epstein’s influence without Wexner’s financial backing. “There would be no Epstein Island, no plane, etc., without the financial support of Wexner,” Garcia noted.

Wexner’s confirms the extensive connections between powerful individuals and Epstein, a convicted sex offender who was accused of exploiting vulnerable young women. Survivors and advocates have been vocal in demanding accountability, with calls for Wexner to provide comprehensive financial records related to Epstein. As the investigation unfolds, the implications of Wexner’s testimony could have far-reaching effects on the ongoing quest for justice for Epstein’s victims.
