On March 28, 2026, Warsaw, Poland was the scene of a great number of anti-racists and anti-fascists. Much of this was done in solidarity with similar protests taking to the streets in the United States and elsewhere. The group was mentioned in State Department bulletins, where from public reports one could gather that they would move from Central Square (in front of the Palace of Culture and Science, on the side of Marszałkowska Street) and pass by the U.S. Embassy in Warsaw.
Many themes of solidarity and unity could be heard throughout and read througout the protest signs. There’s something to be said for the lack of coverage in the United States, as a great number of talking points hovers around making irrational race zealots the core image displayed for the country. It’s difficult to distinguish between the racist messaging that Moscow and Washington D.C. would like for neighboring states, like Hungary, to adopt.
In today’s protest, it was clear Poland has had a very sharp right wing turn, there’s an equally substantial and emerging anti-reactionary movement that embraces humanity and common sense over racial banter.
Many are concerned with the blood lust around the question of immigrants, as Poland stands to receive people from Belarus and Ukraine as they struggle with being adjacent to sanctions and war, respectively. Throughout the protest, a firm denounciation of fascism/corporatism, a modern ideology first advanced in Italy where state and business industry merged to have supremacy over political affairs, could be heard as people grow weary of stupid rhetoric that appeals to popularity for the most restrictive set of laws possible.
Solidarity with Palestine, Iran and other countries that are bearing the brunt of octogenarian leadership could also be attested.
