The Pakistani brokered ceasefire between Iran and the United States due to purposeful deception around Lebanon’s involvement. Israeli officials, contacts in the American press for these officials have made claims defending their attacks in Lebanon to draw the U.S. into a continued war with Iran. Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, who has asserted that Lebanon is included in the ceasefire terms, has become among the most credible voices in the whole affair.
Israeli representatives have rebuffed this assertion, emphasizing that the ceasefire does not apply to Lebanon, which has recently faced significant military action.
