This film, which marks the directorial debut of renowned musician and artist Residente (René Pérez), will be shot in Puerto Rico, celebrating the island’s rich cultural heritage.
‘Porto Rico’ is described as an epic Caribbean western and historical drama, positioning Bad Bunny, whose real name is Benito Antonio Martinez Ocasio, in a leading role that promises to showcase his talents beyond music. The jump to cinema is sort of preordained given the status of the singer. Prior to this film debut, Ocasio had already starred in a few interesting episodes of Netflix, but much of it seemed like posturing and angling for edge amidst his gender bending shenanigans.
