American rock legend Jon Bon Jovi is being hailed as a hero on social media following his intervention in a potential suicide attempt.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, September 10th, which coincided with World Suicide Prevention Day, while the singer was filming a music video.
According to authorities, Bon Jovi played a crucial role in saving a woman who was on the edge of a pedestrian bridge in Nashville. A production assistant noticed the woman on the other side of the railing, apparently in a dangerous situation, and began speaking with her. Shortly after, the singer joined the conversation, helping the woman safely return to the bridge.
A video released by WBIR, an NBC affiliate, shows the singer embracing the woman and walking with her toward one end of the bridge.
