By Ricardo Lezama La Cartita — California has appeared to stave off a major spike in the infection rate, but with the lack of tests, federal guidance and apparently positive outlook due to social distancing, is likely ready to extend the ‘lockdown’ for 2 more weeks.
While CA extending the lockdown is not official (yet), if Los Angeles does something, then so does the rest of the state. And, as such, the Mayor of LA has announced an extension of the ‘Safer at Home’ order until May 15.
On Friday, Eric Garcetti, the mayor of LA extended the order:
