On February 21, the city of Bogotá was shaken by a brutal murder that shocked the community. Roberto Franco Charry, a well-known and successful businessman, became the victim of a heinous crime in the 93 sector of the city. The incident occurred in the parking lot of Charry’s office, where he was attacked by a group of assassins. The entire incident was captured on security cameras, leading to the identification of one of the assailants – Jean Karlo Bermúdez Camargo.
Bermúdez was the driver of the motorcycle on which the main assailant attempted to flee after shooting Charry. The perpetrator’s failed escape plan led to the capture of Bermúdez, who was soon revealed to be one of the masterminds behind this premeditated murder. Further investigation revealed that Charry had received numerous threats prior to the fatal attack. This raised suspicions that the incident was not an act of random violence but a targeted assassination.
As a result of the evidence gathered, a prosecutor charged Bermúdez with the crimes of aggravated homicide and aggravated manufacturing, trafficking, carrying or possession of firearms. As a measure of precaution, Bermúdez has been kept in custody and must defend himself while being deprived of his liberty. His involvement in a calculated murder makes him a danger to society that must be kept off the streets.
Unfortunately, the main perpetrator who fired the shot that ultimately took Charry’s life remains at large. The search for him has been intensified, and the authorities are determined to find him and bring him to justice for his heinous crime.
