In what appears to be wishful thinking, the New York Times has rushed to publish the musings of an anonymous source about current president Joe Biden considering dropping out of his campaign in order to allow for a more viable candidate. Apparently, his consideration centers on swaying public opinion.
However, White House spokesperson, Andrew Bates, responded as follows:
