At least momentarily, Prigozhin agreed to turn back his forces so there wouldn’t be a showdown. Prigozhin is the leader of a group of mercenaries called Wagner and he was trying to march his forces to Moscow but was dissuaded by Belarusian president Aleksander Lukashenko.
Additionally, the arrest warrant made on Prigozhin was dropped, removed immediately upon the discussion with Belarusian president. This suggests a rapid de-escalation of events, and a sigh of relief for the world seeking less chaos.
