Tiger Woods Visits the White House After Making Relationship with Vanessa Trump Public

Tiger Woods, the renowned 49-year-old golfer, visited the White House this week, marking his first appearance at the iconic building since officially announcing his relationship with Vanessa Trump, the ex-wife of Donald Trump Jr.

Woods’ visit sparked public interest, especially after Indiana Senator Jim Banks shared a photo on X (formerly known as Twitter) on Thursday, May 8, showing himself alongside the athlete.
“Ran into @TigerWoods at the White House today!” Banks wrote in the post, accompanied by American flag and golf emojis. The image quickly drew attention given the context of Woods’ recently revealed relationship.

It is worth noting that this return to 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue comes approximately three months after Woods’ last visit to the same location. It also follows two months after the golfer made his relationship with 47-year-old Trump public through an Instagram post.

Back in February, Woods attended a White House ceremony commemorating Black History Month. During the same occasion, he participated in meetings with then-President Trump, PGA Tour Commissioner Jay Monahan, and Yasir Al-Rumayyan, governor of the Saudi Public Investment Fund. According to Golfweek, the purpose of these meetings was to discuss a potential merger between LIV Golf and the PGA Tour.

A few weeks after these discussions, a source close to the Trump family informed PEOPLE magazine that Woods and Vanessa had been romantically involved for several months, though they had kept their relationship largely private.

As of now, the specific reason for Woods’ recent visit to the White House remains unclear. However, the current president confirmed that he did, in fact, meet with the golfer, as reported by Golf Monthly.

Moreover, the connection between Woods and Vanessa goes beyond their personal bond. They also share a common interest in golf through their children, who have shown promise in the sport. Woods’ son, Charlie, is 16 years old, while Trump’s daughter, Kai, will turn 18 next Monday.

“Their children are making strides in golf, and both parents are deeply committed to supporting their athletic journeys,” a source close to the couple noted in March, describing the relationship at the time as “very casual.”

Additionally, another source told PEOPLE that it is not surprising to see Vanessa romantically linked to someone as high-profile as Woods.
“Vanessa has always been interested in men who are well-known or have something significant going for them,” the source explained.
