By Natalia Rueda What was supposed to be a night for costumes, trick-or-treating and enjoying Halloween, ended up being a terrifying and tragic event in Soacha, one of the neighborhoods south of Bogota. While costumed children roamed the streets, a man walking with his five year old daughter was brutally murdered in cold blood.
In a video was recorded when the victim was walking with his daughter through the neighborhood when he was approached by a man in a cape and mask to tell him something, the man decided to ignore him and seconds later he was shot multiple times by his attacker. The shooter fled the scene, leaving the little girl traumatized and alone.
This event serves as a reminder of the ongoing issues of violence and crime in Colombia, where incidents like this are all too common. The Metropolitan Police of Soacha has confirmed the incident and launched an investigation to bring the perpetrator to justice.
