Under immense public and private pressure, top democrats believe Joe Biden will exit race, according to Axios News. Top Democrats say the pressure from party leaders and friends will cause President Biden to leave the race as soon as this weekend, but that still leaves the question of whether Kamala Harris will replace Joe Biden in the Democrat’s fledgling campaign.
The president has continued to make various gaffes during his campaign trail. In one speech to the NAACP, the president misread on his teleprompter his proposed legislation to reduce or cap rent increases by 5 percent and instead said ’55 dollars’, which has only been one of the many instances in which his mental acuity has been questioned after his election debate with Donald Trump in early July.
Even worse, The Washington Post and BET have published various remarks from Biden himself exploring a rationale for quitting the race. According to The Washington Post, Nancy Pelosi told other high ranking Democrats she believes President Biden can be persuaded fairly soon to exit the presidential race amid serious doubts he can win in November.
