MONTREAL, CANADA – On July 6, William Eduardo Santander De La Hoz, a 33-year-old Colombian publicist, disappeared in a tragic yacht accident on the St. Lawrence River in Montreal, Canada.
William had arrived in the city on June 27, excited about the adventure that awaited him. He had shared pictures of the trip on his social networks and was happy and enjoying his stay in Canada. However, everything changed unexpectedly on July 6, when he disappeared in the waters of the river.
According to his family, William was invited by his friends to a yacht ride and he shared on his Instagram stories images of his ride. But since that day, they have had no more news of him, generating great anguish to his family and friends.
What is known
According to reports, William was on the third floor of the yacht accompanied by a friend when, after heading to the bathroom, she lost sight of William, who accidentally fell into the river. The friend alerted the yacht’s captain, who immediately called the authorities to initiate a search and rescue.
Despite the efforts of divers, drones and helicopters, the search for William has been fruitless. His family and friends are desperate to find him and bring him home. Local authorities are also assisting in the process and hope to find his whereabouts soon.
The mysterious incident has left many questions unanswered and has raised concerns in the community. It is still unclear how William fell off the yacht and what exactly caused the tragic accident.
