Daniel Jacobs Expresses Gratitude Over Appearance On Boxing Video Game Enjoying Retirement, Boxers Make Predictions

In an in-depth and spontaneous interview, Daniel Jacobs remarked to the YouTube channel ‘Pro Boxing Fans’ all the motivations and aspects of his career. Jacobs expressed gratitude to fans who appreciated the sacrifice behind training and the after effects of high level bouts. The Brownsville, Brooklyn native referenced the intense amount of dedication to the sport and remarked how he never expected to become a boxer.

As far as he was concerned, Jacobs was content with being a “mommas boy” until a school yard brawl led to his joining a boxing gym. Eventually, the passion and gratification of training changed his life went to the sport fully, but now he is quite content with retirement.

In view of his experience in the sport, Jacobs remarked on how he in some extreme cases people would often urinate blood after receiving so many blows to the body.

Interestingly, he chimed in on a former rival, Canelo Alvarez, being matched up with his amateur days friend, Terence Crawford in September 2025 match. Jacobs noted that Crawford had purist or amateur style boxing skills. He felt that these skills were so refined that they surpass Canelo’s. TNevertheless, he cited power as the key factor that would decide the fight.

Canelo Alvarez power is factor for Jacobs

Teofimo Lopez provided a different perspective regarding the matchup to Little Giant Boxing.

Lopez actually thinks Terrence Crawford is too old relative to the fighting style. While his upper body is quite in shape, his legs may not be as agile which would prove key when combatting someone like Alvarez. Many have cited Crawford’s performance against Israil Madrimov and predicted he won’t win if he moves up to 168 pounds.

In short, both Lopez and Jacobs expressed admiration for The Ring magazine, and praised Turki Alalshikh’s contributions to boxing. That shouldn’t be surprising as they are both either connected to a video game project or to an upcoming fight with the Saudi backed sports ambassador.
