In the United States, a common recurrence in the plight of young women looking for opportunity is marriage with an inadequate partner. Sadly, the tendency is that undeserving US born men in the US prey on their hopes and dreams, offering superficial stability for social media optics, but little substance. This issue has played out in the most extreme sense in Uniontown, PA, a suburb of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Murder of Franyerlys
Case in point, a young Venezuelan woman, Franyerlys Zambrano Briceño, age 26, who was murdered in her home in Pennsylvania, USA, had been married to the man who allegedly took her life for less than a month. Zambrano Briceno may have paid the price for her new husband’s jealousy, as neighbours reported that he mentioned the possibility of killing her “if I find out she’s messing around”.
Franyerlys worked as a cleaner at a local resort. A local friend noted she had not come into work after New Years and proceeded to phone Uniontown, Pennsylvania. Somewhat ironically, Guy Jr was arrested in a Las Vegas resort after police in Pennsylvania had found Franyerlys body. Guy Jr. was ready for the getaway with over 100k in cash in his hotel room.
Initially, Franyerlys relatives were the ones who revealed the details on the social media account, Utahzolanos’ Instagram account. The young woman from Tachira, Venezuela had been missing since December 26.
Venezuelan Woman Allegedly Murdered by American Husband in US
In the afternoon of this Monday, January 1st, the Uniontown Police in Pennsylvania found the young woman’s body with a gunshot wound. Subsequently, in the afternoon of Sunday, December 31, a friend of the victim asked that digital media outlet to share the police’s search campaign.
The friend informed that Franyerlys had stopped communicating and also didn’t show up for work. The main suspect is an American man identified as Art Guty Jr., 55 years old. When questioned by the authorities, the subject couldn’t accurately explain Franyerlys’ whereabouts. “When he gave us information, it was not accurate,” said Lieutenant Thomas Kolencik from the local police. On December 25th, during the Christmas festivities, the couple posted a photo on their social media, which was the last one before the discovery of the Venezuelan woman. Her family demands justice from the authorities, but seeing as that he was apprehended, justice and closure seems inevitable, thankfully.
Marriage Status
Nothing is better for distinct communities to peacefully engage than for its members to intermarry on an equitable basis. Statistically speaking, white and hispanic populations have similar marriage and divorce rates suggesting that shared views on marriage is a unifying force.
Unfortunately, some marriages between naive young women hoping to settle in the US and unstable individuals can me masqueraded by the relative prevalence of white privilege. The simple perception of occupying a higher category in an implicit social caste system helps lure the unwitting women into destructive relationships.
Many individuals, and, even families, often look at white men as their saviours, but the cultural gap and language barrier can often serve to obfuscate obvious red flags, like severe lack of emotional intelligence, and even financial hurdles that are not usually associated with white individuals.
