Natanael Cano, the 23-year-old singer who has conquered the public with his lyrics such as “Madonna”, “El Boss”, “Entre las 20”, “PRC”, has established himself as one of the most famous exponents of the new wave of regional Mexican music. However, he recently became the center of attention in social networks after his recent concert in Monclova, Coahuila. His performance took a negative turn after he made an unfortunate comment loaded with discrimination towards overweight people.
During his performance, while dedicating his song “Entre las de 20” to his followers, Cano uttered words that many considered offensive. “With a lot of respect for all women, except fat women,” the singer said. The comment, perceived as fat-phobic, left much of the audience outraged.
The repercussion was immediate, with numerous attendees and users on social networks expressing their discontent and condemning the artist’s words. The wave of criticism was not long in coming on the social network “X” and these were some of the comments from the public:
“Can you imagine the plus-size girls who paid their ticket to go watch him? Natanael Cano should think about things before saying them”.
“At what point to someone as disgusting as #NatanaelCano thinks it’s funny to discriminate women because of their physique? The guy is a NACO who doesn’t even sing and can’t even talk good about how stoned he goes out to his concerts! #BodyShaming Will it be that he has seen himself in a mirror?”
“I am FAT !!! And I get rid of the fat thing, but he doesn’t get rid of the macuarro thing.”
