Other reports on social media: At least 16 people were killed Wednesday and dozens injured after a shooter opened fire at a bowling alley and bar in Lewiston, Maine.
The shooter remained at large and police warned people to be alert and stay off the streets in Lewiston, the state’s second-largest city. Such was the severity that a federal agency (ATF) is already aware of the situation.
According to now there are 80 wounded by the sniper.
Federal government responds
The Boston Division of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives posted on X Wednesday night that it was also responding to the situation in Lewiston.
The White House said President Joe Biden had been briefed on what is known so far about the mass shooting and will continue to receive updates. The alert was issued shortly after 8 p.m., when the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office reported that law enforcement agencies were investigating “two active shooter incidents.” A spokesman for the Maine Department of Public Safety urged residents to stay in their homes with their doors locked. “Law enforcement is investigating at two locations at this time,” Shannon Moss said. “Again, we ask that you stay away from the event.”
Who is Robert Card?
Robert Card according to FBI reports is a reservist in the U.S. Army. He is also a weapons expert who was hospitalized over the summer for psychiatric issues. His last known address was 941 Meadow Rd, Bowdoin, ME and there are family members connected to him still at the home.
Family members, possibly a Brenda Card released the suspect’s picture simply asking for prayers for the situation.
