Colombian Journalist Assaulted Close to His Residence in Cortijo Sur
Unfortunately, it’s not just foreign born tourist with racy tendencies and bad habits that are dying in Colombia. Every day Colombian’s face a growing threat from bandits who feel empowered due to a consistent impunity.
As he was walking home from the gym at 11 pm at night, Jhon William Galvis Silva, a social communicator and journalist, was savagely attacked close to his residence in Colombia. Galvis Silva was 29 years old and succumbed to his injuries at the hospital.
According to local press reports, Galvis was actually a government employee for the state government of Cundinamarca.
Living with his family in the south Usme neighborhood of Cortijo Sur, Galvis Silva fell victim to two individuals who intended to rob him. He was just a short distance from his home when the brutal incident occurred, with security cameras capturing the tragic slaying.
