Yesterday, a gender reveal party held on a hacienda in the community of La Palma, Navolato, Mexico, ended with a tragic aircraft accident resulting in the death of the pilot. The event was attended by the soon-to-be-parents and their guests who all waited anxiously for the Cessna aircraft to pass overhead so they could find out the sex of the baby.
However, everything changed when the plane released the pink smoke. The left wing of the plane separated from the fuselage, sending the plane spiraling downwards towards the ground.Witnesses reported that they heard screaming as the plane crashed into a nearby field of agricultural crops.
Local media identified the pilot as 32 year-old Luis Angel, a native of Navolato. Sadly, paramedics from the Navolato Red Cross later treated the pilot at a local hospital, where he passed away in serious condition. An investigation has been launched by the State Attorney General’s Office.
This terrible incident highlights the dangers of aerial displays at sex reveal parties and is a tragic loss for the pilot’s family and loved ones.
