Playboy announced on Monday that they have ended their partnership with former adult entertainment actress, Mia Khalifa. The decision was made after Khalifa’s recent tweets expressing support for Hamas during the ongoing Israel-Palestine conflict sparked outrage and controversy.
Khalifa, who gained fame through her brief stint in the porn industry, joined Playboy’s Centerfold platform. However, her recent social media posts advocating for Hamas, drawing comparisons to apartheid and sing the hashtag #FreePalestine, she encouraged members of the group to film their attacks “horizontally,” causing a wave of criticism and condemnation.

“If you can look at the situation in Palestine and not be on the side of the Palestinians, then you’re on the wrong side of apartheid, and history will prove it over time,” posted on X on Saturday.
In a statement, Playboy emphasized their zero-tolerance policy towards hate speech and reminded Khalifa that her words have real-world consequences. This is not the first time Khalifa has faced backlash for her controversial actions and statements, including wearing a hijab in one of her adult films.
This incident highlights the power and responsibility that comes with being a public figure, especially on social media.
