4.5 tons of coca were found on a ship coming from Colombia carrying 1,750 cows.

On Tuesday, Spanish authorities made a major drug bust when they uncovered an astonishing 4,500 kilos of cocaine hidden on a ship from Colombia that was carrying 1,750 cows, allegedly bound for the Lebanese capital of Beirut. The seizure was made by the National Police and the Customs Surveillance Service at the port of Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, Spain.

The ship had sailed from Colombia and was en route to Beirut when it was stopped and intercepted by Spanish authorities. Upon searching the ship, authorities discovered the massive amount of cocaine that was cleverly hidden in the shipment of cows.

The street value of the cocaine is estimated to be around 250 million euros, making it one of the largest drug seizures in Spain’s history. Spanish police have yet to reveal how they were alerted to the suspicious shipment, though they have confirmed that they have several suspects in custody.

The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are currently looking into where the cocaine was headed and who was behind the shipment. It is believed that the cocaine was intended to be trafficked to Europe and other parts of the Middle East.

This drug bust is a major victory for Spanish authorities, and it is hoped that it will help to reduce the amount of illegal drugs that are smuggled into the country. It also serves as a reminder of the importance of international cooperation when it comes to combating the illegal drug trade.
