Bad Bunny’s highly anticipated “Most Wanted” tour is set to kick off this Wednesday at 8:00 pm at the Delta Center in Salt Lake City, Utah, marking the beginning of a 47-city series of concerts in 31 cities across North America. Although some may be surprised by the choice of a Utah stadium as the first venue for the famed Puerto Rican artist, the decision is based on the growing popularity of Latin music in the state and the previous successes of other Latin talent at the Delta Center.
Mark Powell, senior vice president of events at the Delta Center, explains that the reason behind this choice is the growing popularity of Latin music in the state, backed by a strong Latin show presence and a steadily growing fan base. In fact, Bad Bunny’s show set a record at the Delta Center, achieving the highest single-day gross in the stadium’s 33-year history. In post-event surveys, audiences have demonstrated their satisfaction with the shows performed at the stadium.
But Bad Bunny is not the only Latin artist to win over audiences at the Delta Center. Big names in Latin music such as Carin Leon, Banda MS, Christian Nodal and Peso Pluma have also been acclaimed at the stadium in recent years, demonstrating the growing demand for Latin music in Utah.
The success of Latin shows at the Delta Center is not only reflected in the presence of big names, but also in how quickly tickets for these concerts sell out. Bad Bunny’s tour is undoubtedly the most anticipated of the year and there is no doubt that his show at the Delta Center will be a huge success. Latin music continues to gain ground and Utah is no exception.
