Mexican artist Carín León officially announced yesterday his new tour and presentation dates. León’s 2024 Boca Chueca Tour will kick off on July 22 at the Mid-State Fair in Paso Robles, California. From that date until the end of October, he will perform concerts in arenas across the United States. León will visit major cities such as Los Angeles, California; Las Vegas, Nevada; New York, New York; Houston, Texas; and Nashville, Tennessee. The U.S. leg of his tour will conclude on October 20 at the Amerant Bank Arena in Sunrise, Florida.
Pre-sale tickets for the 2024 Boca Chueca Tour will be available starting on Tuesday, April 30 at 10 a.m. local time. These will include VIP opportunities, which include a meet-and-greet with León. Tickets for the general public will go on sale Friday, May 3, at 10 a.m. local time. “Embarking on this tour is an exhilarating opportunity to share my new music with fans throughout North America and Europe alike […] taking my songs and the vibrant essence of Mexican music to a global stage is truly an honor,” stated the artist.
Carín León is a Mexican singer and songwriter known for his success in the regional Mexican genre. His career took off with the group Los Plebes del Rancho, with whom he released several hits. Subsequently, he established himself as a solo artist and has continued to achieve success and set a precedent for musical experimentation, blending genres and innovating in his creations. León has gained popularity both in Mexico and the United States, establishing himself as a prominent figure in the music scene. Recently, León performed at both weekends of the Coachella music festival. This coming weekend, he will also make his debut at the Stagecoach music festival.
This is part of his campaign called F*ck Regional. which aims to criticize the belief that Mexico’s music is ‘Regional’. In addition to gaining recognition for each genre and having them called by their names (band, mariachi, corridos, rancheras, etc). “FUCK REGIONAL is much more than a question to a term imposed by others to box us into a corner, what they don’t know is that we are much more than that,” said León in 2023.
