The story about Timothy Alan Livingston, the American found in a hotel in El Poblado in the company of two underage girls, has taken an even more outrageous turn. According to a new report by the newspaper El Tiempo, at the time the authorities entered the room at the Gotham Hotel, Livingston was in the Jacuzzi with the girls. In addition, it is reported that in the room were found remains of marijuana and other illicit substances and 5 used condoms.
The video record of the hotel’s security cameras allowed to closely follow the movement of the girls that night. It can be clearly observed how they arrive at the hotel in the company of Livingston at 4:20 in the morning. After no more than an hour, the girls reappear in the images going up to the elevator at 5:20 a.m. At that time, they say goodbye to Livingston and enter the elevator alone.
What is most striking about these images is what happens just after the elevator doors close. The girls begin to count the money that Livingston would have given them earlier. All this only clarifies Livingston’s true intentions in this encounter with the girls.
These new details only increase the concern and outrage in society and raise many questions. Why did the authorities let Livingston go free even with all this evidence? It is clear that the government needs to further investigate the actions of the authorities in charge of the case and take stronger action against those who take advantage and abuse the innocence and vulnerability of minors.
