The shocking details of Timothy Alan Livingston’s potential sex trafficking and minor abuse case surfaced many other inquiries regarding the facts of the case. In the below video, the two minors confirmed to have been with Livingston are shown leaving the premise with cash on hand.

While Livingston’s escape from Colombia to the United States did take place in March 29, 2024, it makes many wonder how he actually left Colombia without immigration authorities or police investigators pushing harder for his arrest. The police officers involved in his initial arrest are now being investigated, which leads to many members of the Colombia public to assume that Livingston’s case may have also involved bribery.
To recap, on March 28, 2024, Livingston was found in a hotel room with 2 underage girls in a jacuzzi with used condoms, drugs and other dangerous paraphernalia in the vicinity, according to hotel staff in an Air B N B booked ‘Gotham Hotel‘.
Fake Documents
One of the curious details around the incident is the subsequent arrest upon confirmation that the minors in question were wielding fake identification cards. Presumably, these ID cards were to thwart arrests or interactions with authorities or was the case in the Livingston’s case, they were simply to gain admission to clubs, hotels and other spaces reserved for adults.
While there may be some devil’s advocates who reason Livingston was unaware of their age, the case remains that Livingston appears to have also traveled with fake identification per media reports. This is not something typical of any normal tourist, but definitely much in line with the activities of a criminal who has premeditated their crime.

Debemos exigir a @petrogustavo que pida celeridad y justicia en este caso.

Unfortunately, the possible defense that the Livingston did not know their age seems wobbly since the girls are visibly adolescent age and the fact that both Livingston and the girls used fake IDs suggests a possible single source of those identifications.
Bribery of Police?
For 12 hours hours, Livingston was detained by members of the Centro de Traslado de Protección in Medellin, Antioquia. Officials say that he was not ‘caught in the act’ and so was let go, but that rationale seems preposterous given the amount of other evidence, like video footage of the girls counting money in an elevator, the presence of both Livingston and the girls in a jacuzzi etc.
In fact, the amount of evidence that was found during Livingston’s arrest should have been enough for authorities to seize his passport, but somewhere in the process, Livingston’s arrest was interrupted, and the Ohio resident was allowed to leave the country. He returned via a flight from Medellin to Florida, where he remains to be found by US authorities, but a home sale in 2022 near Cleveland, Ohio has been linked to him.
The question remains: how did Livingston manage to evade a longer judicial process?
Did he bribe local officials, because if the home sale left him flushed with cash, the individual was certainly in a position to do so. The act of bribing officials for nefarious deeds remains illegal in the US. indeed, authorities in Colombia are investigating the arresting officers. In fact, given the evidence, the most likely scenario is that Livingston could only have left Colombia through bribery because the amount of direct evidence should have made for a longer arrest under normal circumstances.
