New York City In Controversy Over Death Of Erratic Mentally Ill Person Choked By Passenger

Mayor Eric Adams is not bucking to trends that he completely condemn the killing of a homeless individual on the A line. Controversy emerges and protests call for compassion.

Unfortunately, Jordan Neely, a 30 year old transient was killed during an altercation with a passenger in the A line. This took place in New York City, a place now more known for erratic behavior and high rental prices than anything positive.

According to WNBC-TV in New York, Neely had begun to make threats to passengers around him which is common in all of New York City’s boroughs. Often, individuals will aggressively panhandle or consume space aggressively such as through bearing an extreme odor or laying on all available seating during peak use hours.

Mayor Eric Adams was able to skirt the line between outright support for the death of the individual, Jordan Neely, and condemnation for the passengers who felt threatened.
