As if nothing could have stacked the odds against Keith Thurman even more, the former WBA Welterweight champion is now adding a whole group of Mexican fight fans against him due to his comments criticising Mexican style boxers.
The press conference for the event was shown today January 31, 2024, with Pitbull Cruz and Rolly Romero also promoting their notable.
Thurman is set to fight Tim Tszyu who is the WBA super welterweight belt holder, but will not actually be competing for the WBA belt due to not having competed in any match for so long. This inactivity is what has many counting out Thurman from being competitive in the fight. For his part, Tim Tszyu has been active and militant about competing against the best out there in his division.
One user on social media said: “It’s f*** Keith Thurman from now on. Because Mexicans go out and look for the fight and look to engage doesn’t mean they are flat footed! He really forgot all these Mexicans put paws on him so quick!” – now people are rooting for Tim Tszyu, the guy who is fighting Mexican Style. Thurman insulted it. Easy choice for US based Mexicans.
