Mexican general consul, Sandra Fuentes Berain, censors Somos Los Otros NY (09/30/2015)
After protest group shouts "¡Asesino!" (murderer) at Mexican president, Enrique Peña Nieto, during his visit to the United Nations General Assembly, New York City's General Consul attempts to censor the group in public statements declaring them to be 'Radical' and 'Violent'.
La Cartita --- On Tuesday, México's General Consul in New York, Sandra Fuentes Berain, publicly accused the group "Somos Los Otros NY" of being violent and the possible perpetrator of an act of vandalism. In the early morning of Tuesday, at 5:30 am, the NYPD discovered that some red paint was splattered on New York's Mexican consulate office. Surprisingly, in statements to CBS news, the general consul made unsubstantiated allegations that Somos Los Otros NY was responsible for that act of vandalism.
Fuentes Berain stated "the one that protested yesterday (Monday, 9/28/2015) is the most radical one and is the one that commits acts of violence". In other words, Fuentes Berain directly referenced the groups' recent protest in front of Mexican president Enrique Peña Nieto. The video of the protest went viral generating millions of combined views in different social media platforms.
At the time of this writing, a meeting between the group and the subconsul is scheduled to take place on Thursday, October 1st, 2015, at the Mexican consulate to address the issue.
