On Tuesday morning, multiple agencies across San Bernardino County received calls of threats on school grounds. The Barstow Police Department reported a bomb threat at one school, which was later found to be a hoax.

According to Sheriff’s spokeswoman Gloria Huerta, the department did not receive any false reports for schools in Apple Valley, Hesperia, Victorville, or the rest of the Victor Valley. Officers and detectives have remained on campuses conducting investigations and deputies have responded to all locations to secure and clear the schools. Huerta told the Daily Press that “the department is aware of calls to area schools regarding reports of gunfire” (Huerta).
