North Carolina Communities Arbitrarily Broken By ICE

La Cartita --- Sean Gallagher, ICE's regional director for operations in North Carolina, is blaming Sheriff policies for increased ICE intimidation. Specifically, Gallagher blames local counties choosing to limit their cooperation with ICE officials. North Carolina has grown increasingly weary of heavy handed enforcement on artificial laws. So far, many county elections taking place in highly educated sectors of the state have swung away from conservative, jingoist Federal policies.

NC COUNTIES REJECT ICE RAIDS

Most recently, Durham County Sheriff, Clarence Birkhead, was elected to office on the basis of reform; many residents resented the unjust treatment of prisoners, with the death of Uniece Fennel making a traditionally safe Republican county a toss-up early in the race. Apparently, the unjust treatment of native migrants and black people correlate with one another based on the prejudices of department heads.

November's elections slightly changed the political climate for native migrants.

While the White House has lived up to the anti-immigrant hype as much as possible, others in traditionally Republican sectors of the country have refused to take part. Many in the US 'South' look at the raids as unwelcomed nuisances and unjust trasgression on peaceful communities.

ELECTORAL CONSEQUENCES: NO ONE IS SCARED OF MIGRANT NATIVES

In fact, Clarence Birkhead was elected based on his enthusiasm of limiting cooperation with ICE. Yesterday, Sheriff Birkhead released a statement saying people could not trust law enforcement when ICE forces raids in his jurisdiction.

ICE CONDUCTS REPRISALS To JUSTIFY BUDGET

However, ICE has engaged on an anti-Nican Tlaca campaign in part to embarrass these counties; they are seeking to justify their bloated budget while pleasing Washington D.C, the consequences be damned since many of these policies sow destruction, racialized attitudes and wasted tax payer funds.
