Recently, ICE has been pushing for access to higher grade espionage software, like Palantir's platform, that is on par with the FBI and military. If Palantir continues on this track, then they will likely provide Palantir software to all government agencies, including ICE, which is basically tasked with hunting down Mexicans.

Using local law enforcement data, the license plate reading software automatically reads license plates to identify undocumented members of the community. The current national fervor to hunt and destroy the livelihoods of native, but undocumented, people is set then to increase demand for surveillance related technology.

Palantir requires tons of social media & phone records data in order to power the visualizations necessary for law enforcement. They are likely most useful for domestic law enforcement for people socialized in the US. Most terrorists use sophisticated software to evade detection, leaving Palantir with either a sourcing issue or just public signals thought of benign by their average target.
Peter Thiel is uniquely positioned to profit from both Trump's racist recolonization plan, and his continued agitation of a much realler danger of sporadic, suicidal terrorism, often not linked to foreign strife or resentment at US foreign policy.
